The dish was relatively well received by judges John Torode and Greg Wallace despite the fact he had under cooked his aubergine.
The second round of the episode saw the group split into boys and girls and were sent to two separate restaurants; the boys were sent to Darbaar in the city.
Marcus was put in charge of the starter - a Royal Bengal Style Wild Madagascar Prawn. The dish included two marinades, the first was made with tumeric, chilli and garlic, and the second was made from coconut milk and mustard.

Marcus' efforts appeared to continue to impress the chef.
The final round allowed the contestants to make their own creations.
Marcus used his love of healthy food as inspiration for his dish and created a chickpea, cashew and spinach salad with goji berries and desiccated coconut for a starter, and for his main, he served a naked burger, with sweet potato fries and broccoli topped with Parmesan and pine nuts.
